November 21st was the first meeting of the Summerville/North Area Jewish Community group. It was held at the home of Roy and Doris Myers in Summerville. There were 22 Jewish people from Summerville and the surrounding area. The meeting started with a Havdalah Service led by Donna Spencer, who was aided by Kayla Carle and Sergz Santiago. We recieved good press coverage prior to the event from the Summerville Journal Scene on November 20th. (Click here to read article). Tim Carle, of KKBE’s Board of Trustees was in atttendance and briefly welcomed the gathering.
